​​​What does the 10 session programme include?

  • A 10-week programme to equip children with skills to help cope with anxiety. 

  • Includes worksheets, discussions and sharing. 

 

What will be learned in the Programme?

  • The 5Cs of Resilience.  In five easy steps, we teach kids how to recognize, examine, challenge and change their thoughts.

  • How to avoid avoiding.  Learn a simple step-by-step method to overcome their fears and confidently achieve their goals

  • How to go from “What if” to “What is.”  Kids learn how to stop worrying about every possible outcome of a situation and focus on the most realistic one.

  • Five thinking distortions or "ThoughtHoles". Everyone distorts reality, but worry can provoke more distortions. Kids learn about common distortions and what to do about them.

  • How to quash recurring negative thoughts. Kids learn what do with thoughts that loop around the mind like a broken record player.

  • A relaxation toolbox. This can be practised every day to reverse or eliminate the physical effects of anxiety.

  • Self-reliance.  The person will be encouraged to acquire the confidence and skills to learn how to cope with anxiety attacks, distorted thinking, worries and fears on their own.
